Magdalene Blessing Womankind
© Sue Ellen Parkinson
Original – SOLD
13” x 19” Prints • $65
Description:
Through the ages artists have been inspired by Mary Magdalene and depicted her using these identifiers: a red or white egg, an alabaster anointing jar, a skull, a book, a mirror and she is almost always shown wearing red (the color of spiritual authority.)
This painting shows her with the alabaster jar at her feet. I was imagining a world where we could honor Her as She deserves to be honored and be able to receive Her blessing.
