Yeshe Tsoygal was Padmasambhava’s consort. He considered her his equal in every way. She was the scribe for the terma teaching known as the Tibetan Book of the Dead. After Padmasambhava’s death, Yeshe Tsoygal went on to teach Buddhism throughout Tibet. She is both an actual historical person and a full spectrum deity, capable of helping with all problems. In this painting I have her offering the Three Jewels in her right hand. (The Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.) Also with her left hand on her heart, she's pointing to her throat chakra, encouraging all people to speak out on behalf of the earth.
