Description:

This image depicts an epiphany I had while on pilgrimage in Europe in 2017. It still feels true to me. The idea is this: When Jesus cast off the "7 demons" from Magdalene, he did it by denouncing the lies that society projects onto women. He stated the truth, and when he acknowledged the truth, it was a great liberation to her (and potentially to all women.)

This is what the banners say—they relate directly to the 7 chakras:

  • You have been unjustly oppressed.

  • Your body is Holy and yours alone to define, or give to another.

  • You use your power to uplift, heal, and restore balance.

  • Your loving heart is your perfect guide.

  • Your speech furthers understanding and dispels illusion.

  • You have the wisdom of creative intelligence.

  • The Holy abides within you, and all life.
