Saint Anne and Mary. Anne, the maternal grandmother of Jesus is never mentioned in the Bible. She is often depicted in paintings reading a book to Mary. In this I felt all the little dreams and wishes a mother has for her child—indicated by all the seeds in her halo. Also Mary has a dandelion with three little wish seeds floating into the air. I included an apple because I hope we all eat the apple, the fruit of knowledge, and know that we are blessed by doing so.
