This was the original painting I had planned for which eventually became my painting the, “The Healing Circle,” before I made the decision to have Magdalene as an older woman. So it’s a little like a pre-painting. It has the same models but the feeling shifted dramatically between the two. I like the genuine sweetness between the women that exists in this one.
