Visions of Jesus never came to me. I meditated upon why this was and saw Him in deep grief. Without looking at me, he said, “Raise Her up.” I knew he was talking about Magdalene, with a capital “H” for Her. So, I figured I was on the right track, and kept painting Her. Then, a few months later, this image came to me: Jesus and Magdalene, happy and in love, at the rivers edge.
